Hans J. Wegner (1914 - 2007) GE290 sofa set in solid teak. This iconic and timeless series, designed in 1953 by the master of chairs, is incredible and rare to find as a complete set. Most GE290 series sofas and chairs were produced in oak, followed by beech, with teak the hardest to come by. This incredible set here features the GE290 sofa, the GE290A high back chair with the GE290S ottoman and the GE290 easy chair, all produced in solid teak. The original loose-sprung cushions are in excellent shape and condition and have been re-padded accordingly. We have upholstered this entire set in a new grey modern fabric which lends warmth and a touch of modernity. Burn stamped and produced by Getama.
